Padilla Sports Group, LLC, is built for special athletes and coaches who want to rise on the field, in their careers, and towards their earning potential throughout college and professional sports. Led by Jake Padilla, a seasoned recruiter and former D1 coach with a passion for identifying and unlocking talent across sports, with a focus on basketball and football.

NIL IS CHANGING THE GAME

after a decade in college lacrosse and a lifetime in sports, I realized it was time to combine my recruiting skills, coaching heart, and entrepreneurial spirit. I’ve seen firsthand how transformative the college athletics journey can be—and how much is left on the table without the right guidance.

I founded PSG to help athletes and coaches rise through the ranks with intention—not just chasing the highest paycheck, but finding the right fit to grow, shine, and succeed long-term. I know what it takes to get there because I’ve lived it—from NCAA coaching AND recruitment to launching pro careers.

the Group is a team effort backed by the experience OF Jake’s father, Jose Padilla, PSG’s Legal Counsel. a University of Michigan Law Grad who has worked in Executive leadership roles in Higher education and Division 1 athletics. PSG IS a powerful combo of athletic, ADMINISTRATIVE, AND strategic expertise supporting those we represent. (See experience within “the Difference” section below.)

THe Difference

  • Character and loyalty are monumental strengths of this group. We mean what we say and say what we mean. Having your back is a founding principle.

    Jake was selected to head the U20 Mexican National Lacrosse Team ahead of the 2025 World Championships in Korea. The team went in unranked yet finished 9th in the world rankings.

  • The founder of Padilla Sports Group, LLC, is Jake Padilla. Jake is a former D1 coach who has lived the recruiting trail at schools like Detroit Mercy and Rutgers, in turn developing a sharp sense for identifying true talent even when others don’t see it. The group behind PSG includes Jose Padilla, its Legal Counsel. Jose is a past D1 President at Valparaiso University and Vice President & General Counsel at universities such as the University of Colorado System and DePaul University. He was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), a Division 1 mid-major athletic conference.
